Prof. Mirosław Minkina

Professor of social sciences. Has been affiliated with the University of Siedlce since 2007. Between 2012 and 2016, he served as the Director of the Institute of Social Sciences and Security at the University of Siedlce, subsequently holding the position of Vice-Rector for Science from 2016 to 2020. Since 2020, he has served as the Rector of the University of Siedlce.

Professor Minkina has held several expert roles within key institutions, including the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. His diplomatic experience includes service at the Polish Embassy in Brussels and the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Poland to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and the Western European Union.

 

Notably, he was part of the diplomatic team that introduced Poland’s accession to NATO in 1999.

His research interests are centered on international security, with a particular focus on the security policies of NATO, the European Union, and the Russian Federation, as well as the operations of secret services. Professor Minkina is the author of 90 scientific publications, including monographs and articles in prestigious international journals.
