Col. (ret.) Raimonds Rublovskis
Raimonds Rublovskis (born in 1967) is Colonel (Retired) with more than 30 years of service in Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Latvia, National Police, Parliament and President Security Service, Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Latvia and Latvian National Armed Forces.
During his police and military service he held various key command and staff positions in domains of security, defense, defense against terrorism, special operations, and strategic planning such as Commander of Military Police of Latvian National Armed Forces, Commander of Parliament and State President Security Service, Acting Commander of Special Operations Forces of Latvian National Armed Forces, National Military Representative of the Republic of Latvia at NATO SHAPE (Mons, Belgium), and Chief of Strategic Planning Department (J5) in General Staff of Latvian National Armed Forces.
From 2013 to 2021, Raimonds Rublovskis was Senior Advisor for Strategic Development of Riga Capital Police. Raimonds Rublovskis holds Master degree in History (University of Latvia, 1994), higher professional education degree in Law (University of Latvia, 2000).
He has graduated from The United States Marine Corps Command and Staff College as nominee of Distinguished Graduate of this College with Master’s Degree of Military Studies in 2001. From 2010 to 2013 R. Rublovskis completed PhD program of Political Science in Riga Stradins University and the topic of his dissertation is related to security and defense issues of Latvia. R. Rublovskis is author of number of scientific publications on issues of political science, defense against terrorism, security and defense.
He speaks Latvian, English and Russian fluently; he also has basic knowledge of Polish language. Raimonds Rublovskis is lecturer at Baltic International Academy (BIA) since 2021. He is finalizing the dissertation at BIA.
